Dear Sustainable Rural Life friends,
These past three months our Sustainable Rural Life Program has continued helping rural communities throughout Mexico to improve their living conditions through environmental technologies. We continue to support our five allies in the field through capacity building workshops, follow up activities, and funding to acquire and distribute solar pots and fuel-efficient stoves.
We have also been working to promote the certification of all the stoves distributed on the Yucatan Peninsula for the voluntary carbon markets. In June took place the required public consultation for the certifying entity. During this meeting, all those families with a fuel-efficient stove who are in the process to be certified were given a chance to pose questions and debate about the project´s goals. We are sharing a couple of pictures of this very successful event.
Thank you for being part of the solution for so many communities, who now, thanks to your kind donations, can have cleaner kitchens, healthier lives, lower environmental impact, and improved economies. We are so grateful to you all again for believing in this cause and helping us support it. We sure hope you continue being part of it.
All the best,
Sustainable Rural Life Team
