Dear supports and donors,
I hope all is well with you and your loved ones.
Life at the refugee camps of Tigrayan refugees is still precarous. They can't go home due to the continued lack of peace and nature and lack of reosurces creating problmes in the camps. The number of refugees coming into the Sudan has stabiled because of the blockage of the Ethio-Sudanese border by Ethiopian soldiers. This has encouraged internal displacement that crosing the border to the Sudan. In the mean time there are very scary and inhuman reports that Tigranan bodies are showing up in the Humra river of the Sudan. They are victims of etnic cleansing in the Western part of Tigray. Some have gun shots and others are their hands tied and floating in the river. (Read this_). The conflict in the region is also affecting other non Tigray groups such as the Kimant to flee due to attacked by pro-Amhara regional government forces (Read this)
According to Doctors without borders (MSF) their is shortage of food in one of the camps. Extreme weather is also destroying the refugee camps through wind and flooding. They become shelterless until repairs are made and others are asked to be relocated.
As for our project, we are still in the resource mobilization stage. Thank you for all of you who continue to support the initiative. In the mean time we will appreciate if you share the project to your friends and families so that we can reach a critical amount of money to start the project on the ground. We also need your prayers and lobbying for a comprehensive ceasefire and negotiations between all parties that would lead to peace in the whol country.
Again, thank you for your support and please spread the word.
Best wishes and enjoy the good weather.
