Towards negotiotion between Ethiopia and Tigray
By Tsegay Wolde-Georgis | Project Leader
Dear Supporters and contributors,
Thank you very much for your continued support for the Tigrayan refugees from Tigray. The refugees run away from their homes due to the war. We are working very hard to raise the funds so that we can provide support to the refugees in the area of food security.
Recently, there have been movements towards a negotiation between the two parties. A group of western representatives including those from the USA, the EU, the UK, and Canada as well as other parties visited Mekelle on the 3rd of August to gather ideas and contribute towards settlement. The representatives have returned to Addis Ababa to share the information with the Ethiopian Federal leaders. We hope that this effort will lead to a permanent peace settlement in the region. That will affect the status of displaced people both internationally and dlocally.
Thank you for your fundraising efforts and support. We will continue to work hard and raise the money to support the Tigrayan refugees in Sudan, Please share the information with your friends, neighbors, and relatives.
Best regards to you and your loved ones. Pace.

The # of refugees increase as the war continues
By Tsegay Wolde-Georgis | Project Leader
Dear supporters,
I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. The war in Tigray still continues despite talk of a humanitarian truce between the Ethiopian government and the Tigray Defence Forces (TDF). Twenty trucks with food aid have entered Mekelle. They were supposed to be 100 trucks a day. There was no continued entry of the humanitarian delivery. I hope it will resume.
On the other hand, the number of refugees entering Sudan has increased with the entry of the new year. This shows that the effect of the push factor such as the war is increasing as people are leaving Tigray running out for life.
Please share the information about the project with friends and family workers so that we can raise more money and start the project. That will be very helpful to start the implementation.
Thank you for your support.

The civil-war continues-More Tigrayan refugees
By Tsegay Wolde-Georgis | Project Leader
Dear friends and humanitarians.
Thank you for your continued support. We still hope to continue implementing our work when the resources reach a critical mass. All the money you contributed is still in the account and we still continue to raise money, though we need to do more.
The war in Ethiopia has spread outside of Tigray. The intensity of the conflict is high. International organizations and powerful countries are doing very little to stop the war except to air their sympathy and concern. In fact, some countries are providing drones to the government instead of using their good offices to bring peace to the country. Working for peace by contacting your representatives would be as great as contributing money. When there is peace the refugees will go home and our work will be inside the villages. Please help to bring a ceasefire and peace to Ethiopia.
Unfortunately, more refugees are coming to Sudan according to reports, including from the Voice of America.

May God bring peace to Tigray, Ethiopia, and the region?
Thank you for the great work.
