Though the Ebola outbreak delayed the start of school for a few weeks, it didn't prevent the kids from returning with enthusiasm! We are happy to announce that the kids in JS1 have an extremely positive year ahead of them, as our hardwork and donors allowed us to extend the educational options at the Light School and create a higher level of learning, JS2! For the small village where the school is located, this educational opportunity creates a profond impact on the lives of these children. Thanks to this educational opportunity, these kids will receive an extra year of learning instead of entering into a life of adulthood at the age of 12. We are truly overwhelmed at this amazing opportunity for the kids and are celebrating the generosity of our donors and the hardwork that our board members put into making this dream successful!
Thanks to our donors' generosity, our 200 kids at the beach school are being taught by amazing teachers whose lessons are continuously impacting the childrens' lives in postive ways. The money the donors have provided is also keeping the lights on and the generator running so that the children can read, sing, and learn in a stable, safe environment to enhance their minds. Their enthusiasm and thankfulness radiates from their smiles!
Many coconuts to all who have allowed us to sustain this wonderful school! Your generosity is truly inspiring an up-and-coming Nigerian generation!
