Our children’s HUB in Dnipro continues to operate as a safe and open space for children from IDP families and other families affected by the war. For children whose daily lives have been upended by forced displacement, constant air raid alerts, stress, and uncertainty, it is especially important to have a place where they can feel safe, interact with peers, learn, and gradually return to their usual childhood activities.
At the HUB, children and teenagers can participate free of charge in educational, creative, sports, and developmental activities, and have access to books, learning materials, and technology. Psychological support also remains a key component of the space’s work, helping children cope with stress and the difficult experiences caused by the war. At the same time, the HUB gives children the opportunity to meet new people, socialize, and form new social connections.
We place a special emphasis on safety. The space includes a shelter that children and adults can use during air raid alerts. Thanks to this, the HUB can remain a place where learning, development, and support continue even under challenging conditions. For many families, free access to these opportunities is particularly important, as the war has significantly increased the financial and emotional burden on families.
Thanks to the support of our donors, we can continue the HUB’s work, maintain a safe and comfortable environment, provide children with the necessary resources, and keep access to learning, development, and psychological support free of charge. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who helps us create a space of stability, care, and hope for the future for these children.
