Demand for CNBGuatemala.org increased during the pandemic - and we are going for more!

The demand for CNBGuatemala.org keeps on growing! In 2021 2.7 million users visited the site (225,000 a month, on average), mostly from Guatemala, but increasingly from Mexico, Colombia, and other Latin American countries. Our data show that the demand has continued to increase throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown.

Uploading useful good quality educational resources and aligning them with the curriculum is a permanent task. In late 2021 we uploaded two new collections of educational resources focusing on STEM education thanks to your contributions and a partnership with Universidad del Valle and Vitruvian Consulting de Guatemala, S. A. sponsored by the Organization of American States’ Inter American Teachers’ Education Network.

We also have made a headway in the academic world! In the last quarter of 2021 our four star graduate volunteers from the University of Maryland and George Washington University worked under Matthew Aruch’s able leadership to prepare an essay on CNBGuatemala.org as an experience in technology in education. We’ll keep you posted on its publication. For now, please check out Rachel Dyl’s blog post which tells some of the story.

Do please keep on supporting us! It is only thanks to you that we can keep the website running and accomplish these results. In 2022 your contributions will serve to include new resources and functionalities in the platform. And check out the lovely photo whe have used by kind permission from Jorge Andrés Gálvez-Sobral. It is for children like these in Guatemala and increasingly throughout Latin America that we need to reach teachers with the best educational resources possible.
