Main objective is to optimize life’s quality for women diagnosed with breast cancer:
This program “Mucho por vivir” was first launched in 1991, in order to attend needs for women with breast cancer. Services offered cover the specific needs for this kind of patients: psychosocial attention, lymphedema rehabilitation, leisure activities, and volunteers in sisterhood. Program is developed in the whole country, through professional experts as psychologists, social workers, sanitary personnel, and volunteer coordinators.
Along the years, we have accomplished to minimize the emotional alterations, both physic and social, carried by cancer. Those who have been taken advantage of our program, are deeply satisfied with the services undertaken, and many of them become part of our volunteer system in sisterhood once they have overtaken cancer. In 2013 we have being able to attend 23.892 patients, offering a total service.
