This fall we were able to offer a variety of programs for individuals with autism and their families. These included Hiking (ages 12-21), Circles (Social Skills - ages 10-14) and CASS (Community Adventures Social Skills - ages 14-17). For adults ages 18-35, we offered Kickball, Explorers (community trips), Bowling and a Fall Dance. All of our programs were well-attended and everyone had a great time!
Coming later this month, we will hold an afterschool group at Launch Trampoline Park (ages 5-11). We have a great community partnership there and our families really enjoy it. Parents can drop off their child from 4:30-6:00pm and we provide necessary staffing. Kids will jump for an hour and have a pizza dinner. It is open to the public and it is a true integrated setting. Some parents often stick around and bring siblings and it is a nice afternoon for everyone...and they get some great exercise.
Our CASS & Explorers Saturday trips have included Cranberry Bog Tours, Indoor Mini-Golf and Coggleshall Farm Museum. These trips are from 10a-4p and include lunch at a local restaurant.
We continue to strive to use the generous funding you have provided to enchance the lives of those with autism & developmental disabilites. This means accessing and being part of the community!
