Amplified - Your voice matters

By Will Robinson | Community Fundraiser

Amplified

Over the next 4 years, we’ll be working alongside NHS England to:

  • Empower young people, parents and carers
  • Support young people and their families to be better informed about mental health
  • Increase the participation of young people and their families – at individual, organisational, local and national levels.

When young people and their families actively participate in their care, it’s been shown to:

  • Develop skills, self-esteem and authority over their own decisions
  • Increase their engagement to achieve better health outcomes
  • Empower them to take care of their mental health and seek help early

Participation in mental health means young people engaging in decisions and action about their own mental health, about the services they access and about the issues and organisations that impact their mental health at a local and national level.

Through participation, young people can bring about change in their own lives, in the support that they access and in culture right across young people’s mental health services.

Who we're working with

Amplified is commissioned and funded by NHS England’s Children and Young People’s Mental Health Programme. Amplified is a project involving:

Get involved

  • Young people – join our Young Voices Amplified network and have your say on the future of mental health services in the UK.
  • Parents and carers – join our Parents Voices Amplified network and become part of our community of activists helping to amplify parents’ voices when it comes to mental health policy.
  • Professionals – join the Digital Participation Network and share best practices and access support and resources on participation.
