No Health without Mental Health - Support YoungMinds

By Ellie Saltrick | Corporate & Trusts Fundraiser

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated over the last year! And for those of you who haven't yet, there is still time...

We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful messages from those who have used the services - and we could not do it with generosity of our supporters like you.

Here are just some of our highlights from the last year…

- YoungMinds VS, an ambitious youth campaign which puts young people at the heart of decision making about their own care, their services and mental health policy, has had support from over 23,000 individuals and 341 organisations.

-  Our award winning Parents Helpline helped 10,161 families last year. Parents contact us because they are desperately worried about their child's behaviour, self-harming, serve anxiety, attempted suicide, eating disorders, abuse, depression and psychosis. 96% saw positive changes as a result of our advice and 38% said the Helpline was a lifesaver.

- We launched a new unique website, HeadMeds, giving young people access to reliable information about common mental health medications. It includes information about possible medication side effects, advice about when to seek help, answers to difficult questions and real life stories from other young people.

- We've trained over 5,000 professionals including teachers, foster carers, medical professional and other childcare professionals around mental health and emotional wellbeing. Courses include mental health & resilience, self-harm, children and young people’s participation, sexuality and gender dysphoria, technology & mental health. Feedback from training participants found that 98% said it was relevant to their work and 96% would recommend us to a colleague.

Your support makes all the difference!

Many thanks for your generosity,

Ellie
