My name is Isaac, a former student of Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute and one of the beneficiaries of Global Giving scholarship scheme in 2011 through Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation. I take this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks to Global Giving for supporting me during my course of study.
I had a challenge with payment of tuition fee and I was one of the students who were almost failing to complete the course. My parents were unable to raise the whole amount required for tuition fee but when Global Giving gave me a scholarship they were relieved on the burden. But when Global Giving came in I managed to complete the course in May 2011. I am now employed as an Enrolled Nurse at Ntuusi Health Center level IV under the Local Government of Ssembabule District in Southern Uganda (shded on the map below).

The Health Center serves a catchment area of about 100,000 people. I am now able to contribute towards the development of my community, district and country through offering patient care and participating in public health activities.
I acknowledge the services of Global Giving towards supporting young Ugandans to attain certification in Nursing. Any support offered to other students is highly appreciated.
