Yet another joyous moment at Mayanja memorial Medical Traing Institutes as more student nurses get supported financially due to your donations at Global Giving where solutions are provided to global issues, thank you all.

A notice was posted at notice boards both at the Training Institute and the Foundation offices in June 2013 and a total of 25 students applied during the stipulated time.In two meetings held in September 2013 all the applications were assessed by the committee according to the following agreed criteria which awarded points according to whether one was a complete orphan, from hard to reach area, or from a family that is regarded as poverty stricken. Academic performance was given consideration and whether the student had exhibited difficulty in meeting financial requirements of the Institute.

Verification of information in the application forms was done, this included making calls to Community development Officers, Local council leaders and from their previous Schools there was more insight in the student’s financial inabilities. There after scores were assigned basing on information provided on the applications and gathered data from their respective villages.

The funds available are approximately USD 5800, this could enable support for eleven (11) students up to completion of their courses and these are;- Joseph, Yokonia, Dovico, Barbara, Justus, Sharon, Kenneth, Edith, Chris, Medard, and Jolly all these required on average approximately 600 $ (dollars) each. Appreciation goes to our partners at Global Giving who have sacrificed their funds to avail a future to these young boys and girls as graduate nurses. Appreciation to all of you who contribute to this noble cause, our prayer at Maynja Memorial Medical Training Institute is that the Almighty power blesses you. Let us assist more nursing students graduate as nurses. Thank you Global Giving.
