November is a special time at the Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute. It is the time when nurses take their national examination after months of hard work; it also marks the anniversary of our partnership with Global Giving, which has run for two years now. We are extremely proud of our affiliation with Global Giving through which we have raised over US 24,000!
Four students who are sitting for their exams this month were sponsored by your donations through Global Giving. We sent them s “good luck” cards to wish them well and organized a session to build their confidence in preparation for the examination. All four young nurses expressed much gratitude to Global Giving for supporting their education, and promised to perform well and build on this foundation they have for a brighter future. Attached is a letter of appreciation from one student to the Managing Director of the Institute—a clear sign of this gratitude.
