Greetngs to GlobalGiving Family
The world has faced major challenges during the past 2 years and 3 months. The 2020-21 period was marked with lockdowns due to COVID 19 pandemic everywhere. As the world was emerging from the suffocating lockdowns the Russia-Ukraine war has had effect on the already weakened economies. The economies of low income countries such as Uganda have been hit hard as prices of most commodities are up.
At Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation we have noticed an increase in the number of students at Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute requesting for financial support to meet the costs of fees. One such student was to miss registering with the national examination board and this would imply that she was to miss the final semester examinations. But with the funds from GlobalGiving the Foundation supported the student by paying the student's fees. The student was able to sit for her final examinations. The examination results are expected in the coming 3 months.
The Foundation extends thanks to GlobalGiving Donors for the generous support.
