Greetings to GlobalGiving Family
The Economy in Uganda was fully opened in January 2022. Consequently all education Institutions are now open. Mayanja Memorial Medical Training Institute that serves as a host of GlobalGiving sponsored students is now fully open. Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation has identified 6 students pursuring a certificate in nursing to benefit from the scholarship fund. The foundation advertised the scholarships in the Institute and 30 students applied. Interviews were conducted and the 6 were selected. The criteria for selection was based on 2 aspects: 1) coming from a poor background and therefore having difficulty in paying tuition obligations 2) academic performance whereby those with better performances were selected. It is hoped that the selected students will be enabled to complete their progammes and be able to earn a certificate in nursing. Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation extends thanks ang appreciation to all the donors for the helping hand.
