Dear GlobalGiving Family,
Greetings.
Like all other countries Uganda has been affected by the COVID-9 pandemic. Uganda has had 2 major waves accompanied by 2 full lockdowns. The first lockdown was from March to July 2020 and the second was from May to September 2021. Educational Institutions have born the blunt of these lockdowns over the past 18 months. Mayanja Memorial Hospital Foundation has all along supported students to study and obtain certificates in Nursing at Mayanja Memorial Medical Traning Institute (MMMTI). The Institute like other tertiary institutions has been undergoing phased opening whereby the final semester students were allowed in first. They undertook their courses and completed their pogrammes. The finalists have been followed by other continuing students who are undertaking their studies. The Foundation is carrying out an exercise of indentifying the students to benefit from GlobalGiving support. The outcome on the exercise will be in our next report. The Foundation extends thanks to the GlobalGiving Family for all the support.
Best Wishes.
