At VolunteerMatch, we believe in harnessing the power of technology to make it easier for good people and good causes to connect. And we are not alone.
Like all successful nonprofits, we depend on the generosity and support of our community. Given our passion for technology, we are particularly grateful for opportunities to partner with the tech community to bring world-class solutions to the nonprofit sector.
That is why I am very proud to announce that LinkedIn has doubled down on a high-impact partnership with VolunteerMatch and has made a new two-year, in-kind commitment to support skilled volunteering worth more than $37M. The agreement will enable VolunteerMatch to continue to help even the smallest local nonprofit leverage LinkedIn’s massive professional network to find the skilled volunteers they need to support our kids, our environment, our communities and our future.
This extraordinary partnership which began in 2014 with the launch of LinkedIn’s Volunteer Marketplace, enables VolunteerMatch to republish nearly 40,000 skilled volunteer opportunities every day from tens of thousands of local causes across the country looking for passionate and talented volunteers. It is a natural partnership for both organizations and is expanding the market for skilled volunteering by better serving the 110,000+ nonprofits already using VolunteerMatch to find the volunteers they need.
We are at a defining moment for our democracy, and cross-sector partnerships like this are a powerful example of how for-profits and nonprofits can, and must, work together to invest in scalable opportunities that strengthen our civil society and the enduring values it represents.
