With the generous support of our GlobalGiving donors, we are able to continue working for the release of the dedicated journalists and bloggers who have been detained in Vietnam for exercising their right to inform fellow citizens about human rights abuses. RWB is very pleased to report that Nguyen Van Hai, a citizen journalist known also as Dieu Cay, has been released after being held since April 19, 2008.
Our work continues as there are 26 other citizen journalists and bloggers being held by the authorities for the same abuses to press freedom in Vietnam. The conditions continue to be grave for these captives and your support demonstrates that they are not forgotten. Thank you for making a donation and for supporting RWB's work in Vietnam.
