Improving Press Freedom In Vietnam

By Leigh Burke | US Fundraising Manager

We are very pleased to have sent our first group of donations to our beneficiaries in Vietnam. While privacy and security of our journalists and bloggers is paramount, we want to let you know that your donations are headed to our dedicated contacts and will bring much needed infrastructure for continued reporting and increased communication. All too often, equipment is seized or destroyed as a way to block the free flow of information in and out of Vietnam. Translation stipends are essential to increase the reach of the reporting. We hope that our generous donors and friends will continue to support our efforts to improve press freedom. Please take a moment to look at our 2014 Press Freedom Index and the work that Reporters Without Borders is doing in Vietnam, both linked to this email. Again, many thanks from the staff of Reporters Without Borders.
