Education changes lives and uplifts people. This project provides a modern and well-equipped school building in a village in Butunduzi, Kyenjojo District, Western Uganda. Wilma Fox Child Development Centre supports scholarships, books, classroom fit-out, and school building construction. The construction of a modern School will help us educate more students, extend its age range, and expand its services, integrating contemporary values-based education with local culture.
Social and economic pressures often force rural children to delay starting education and drop out of school early, leaving them with limited employment or work prospects and increased vulnerability, while an inadequate supply of good quality education at an affordable cost remains a barrier to underprivileged youth fulfilling their potential. Furthermore, education is not always valued as it should be, and teachers often lack adequate training and recognition, which can affect their morale.
This project will support Wilma Fox Child Development Centre in completing the construction of a modern, well-equipped building for a village school with a solid track record that provides scholarships to children in need and focuses on attracting and nurturing top-notch teachers. It also offers opportunities to local youth and adults to acquire knowledge and vocational skills that will support them in leading productive, meaningful, and autonomous lives and contribute to the sustainable develop
