Through 2023 and into 2024, we continue providing humanitarian aid and shelter to people who are displaced from their homes in western Ukraine. We provide shelter, food, clothing, personal hygiene supplies, and other basic necessities to over 5,000 women, children and families who have come seeking assistance. We also continue to run missions to cities, towns and villages where there a people in need, including those who are staying in areas where basic necessities are lacking and hard to obtain.
With the help of our generous donors like you, we also purchased an EcoFlow Delta portable power station for Lysets Hospital, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine.
A documentary film that chronicles the beginnings of our humanitarian work recently premiered at the Beverly Hills film festival in May. "I built a Ukrainian Inside Myself", which premiered on May 4, was produced by David Van Hooser who is also a board member of Be The Light. From the film synopsis included in the festival schedule: A journey to Ukraine following the Russian invasion reveals how everyday people quickly created ways to feed, house and serve the millions looking for sanctuary from the hostility.
