Beit Uri is a residential community providing nurturing care and employment for over 100 special needs residents aged 7-62 in Israel. Corona in and out of the village has been roller coaster - challenges have been great. Next week everyone will receive their third booster shot !!
Despite a cut back in assemblies and performances, the creative staff working in small groups have taken day trips to nearby farms and pools enabling smiles and joy despite the intense summer heat with pet therapy proving to be one of the most successful ways to overcome corona.
The 12 arts & crafts workshops supported by GlobalGiving donations have amongst other projects been busy building the wooden furniture for ALL the workshops - tables, shelving, storage cupboards - upgrading working conditions for adults over 21. This is where your wonderful donations are going !!!
Despite recent unrest between Arab and Jewish communities, Beit Uri continues to lead the path of co-existence with over a quarter of its dedicated staff from the nearby Israeli Arab towns and villages. Care and dedication definitely helps builds bridges and your support helps keep these bridges stable.
Thank you for your ongoing care and support.
