Dear Esteemed Patrons,
Greetings to you from HEARDS - India!
Many thanks for your participation in the project.
What is education? You might recall those silly songs about conjunctions you learned in class, or that science project that didn’t go quite right, or those student loans you’re still paying off. In reality, education differs for everyone.
There’s two definitions in the dictionary. The classic definition is “the process of giving or receiving systematic instruction.” The second states it’s “an enlightening experience.” Personally, I like the second explanation. Education should be an enlightening experience. Sadly, over 60 million children around the world still don’t have access to education.
There are six major barriers denying children from education. Among them the major barrier is lack of Transportation.
Lack of transportation to a nearby school impedes girls education the most. In India, more girls drop out of secondary school than boys because of fear of assault, rape, and violence when they walk to and from school.
When this distance is combined with the malnutrition and hunger caused by poverty it makes accessing education extremely difficult.
I am coming out with two children story of Harsha (name changed ) and Durga (name changed) has taking the free transportation. These two children come to our centre after walking 3 kilometers and after that they take our free transportation and reach our rehabilitation centre. But these 2 children were dropped out previously due to lack of transportation but after providing transportation by us now the children are coming to our centre regularly. Apart from that these two kids are smart children and hopefully these children will become a great citizens in future.
So we request you to kindly participate in the project and kindly pass this message to all your friends and relatives.
Thanking you,
With best wishes and fond regards,
