Throughout this period, we continued to strengthen our students’ academic and personal development through a variety of activities. They participated in online workshops, including a public speaking workshop designed to help them build confidence and improve their communication skills. They also took part in the Second Annual Meeting, building on the work from our first gathering around Joseph Campbell’s concept of the Hero’s Journey. This time, we focused on the goals our students had set for themselves and the obstacles they had faced during the first semester.
In October, we hosted our first fundraising event in quite some time. Rather than a traditional, formal gathering, we organized a Peña, a beloved Argentine tradition featuring live folk music and dancing. The evening brought people together in a relaxed and joyful atmosphere, all for a meaningful cause. Thanks to everyone's generosity, we raised enough funds to support one student's journey throughout 2027. We are deeply grateful to everyone who made this achievement possible!
We also opened applications for next year's program and have already received expressions of interest from more than 60 young people eager to become part of Puentes. This encouraging response reinforces the importance of our work and the need to continue creating opportunities for young people to pursue higher education.
