Help 100 Poor children for their Heart Surgeries (36396)

Dear Donors,

We have been able to create an everlasting transformation in the lives of more than 140  underprivileged children and with your support we will touch many more lives……. We are really proud to be associated with GlobalGiving Team for the support they are rendering to Abhilasha Foundation and saving the lives of the underprivileged children... We have  completed 140 open heart surgeries this  would not have been possible without your support……We are overwhelmed with the support given by the GlobalGiving Team and making us a part of their large family.The poor are reluctant to go to the hospital and tend to treat themselves in the nearby vicinity so that they have to spend less. They take the treatment from quack doctors.  The quality of care in the government hospital is not good and long waiting period for the surgeries.  Rural area in India have a shortage of medical professionals and hence the poor people cannot access the health care systems. Doctors tend not to work in the rural areas due to insufficient housing, healthcare, education for their children. Hence the poor people travel to the metropolitan cities for help. Thus there is often a lack of accountability and cooperation in healthcare departments in urban and rural areas.

Abhilasha Foundation has given the financial support for the surgeries of the underprivileged children and validated their faith on our organization.We request the GlobalGiving Team to spread awareness about Abhilasha Foundation and its causes and raise more funds so that many more poor children can be treated and will lead a normal life…. Further request the GlobalGiving Team for the potential donors to donate generously on our various projects so that it reaches the beneficiaries. Together we can eradicate poverty, illiteracy, malnutrition and violence.

Project Report for Making Healthcare a Human Right

Gifting Life……. Transforming Little Hearts……..

We are really proud to be associated with GlobalGiving Team for the support they are rendering to Abhilasha Foundation and saving the lives of the underprivileged children. Thanks to all our esteemed donors, friends and volunteers who made this possible. We could not have  accomplished this without your support. The GlobalGiving Team is always ready to help us and they really included  us all  and made a part of their large family.

We have been able to create an everlasting transformation in the lives of more than 127 underprivileged children and with your support we will touch many more lives…….

 1st beneficiary is 1 year 3 months old baby girl suffering from a congenital heart disease and she needs to undergo ICR of VSD (A Ventricular Septal Defect is an opening in the ventricular septum or dividing wall between the two lower chambers of the heart known as the right and left ventricles. VSD is a congenital (present at birth) heart defect. Due to their poor financial condition they had been going door to door for financial support and hence could not operate her.  Her health started deteriorating day by day, her parents’ took her to  Balaji Heart Hospital & Diagnostic Centre, Byculla, Mumbai. Doctors informed them that she requires an urgent Open Heart Surgery as early as possible.  Her father works as a farmer in Nanded District, Maharashtra and her mother is a house wife. Her father earns only Rs. 4000/- per month. Since the entire family and his parents are dependent on him, he naturally is not in a position to bear the cost of the treatment of his daughter.

2nd beneficiary is a 13 months old baby girl suffering from a congenital heart disease (ICR Tetralogy of Fallot) (Tetralogy of Fallot is a rare condition caused by a combination of four heart defects that are present at birth). Due to their monetary condition they had been going door to door for financial support but nobody helped them not even their relatives. Hence, she had been suffering from congenital heart disease  and could not operate this little girl. Her health started deteriorating day by day and they took her to Asian Heart Institute & Research Centre Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai. Doctors informed them that she requires an urgent Open Heart Surgery as early as possible. Her father works as a labourer in Mumbai  and her mother is a house wife. Her father earns only Rs. 6000/- per month. Since the entire family and his parents are dependent on him, he naturally was not in a position to bear the cost of the surgery and treatment of  his daughter.

Abhilasha Foundation gave all the financial support for their surgeries and validated their faith on our organization. Both of them are fine and leading a normal life. We thank the GlobalGiving Team for supporting Abhilasha Foundation for raising funds for the surgery and  treatment of the underprivileged children….. We request the GlobalGiving Team to spread awareness about Abhilasha Foundation and its causes and raise more funds so that many poor children can be treated and lead a normal life. Further request the GlobalGiving Team for the potential donors to donate generously on our various projects so that it reaches the beneficiaries.
