Over the past three months, our team has continued to actively develop three key areas of support for children with Down syndrome and their families — “Infants,” the Parent Club, and the Youth Club. We believe that systematic support from the earliest years of life, opportunities for parents to receive guidance, and for young people to be part of a community form the foundation for a confident and fulfilling life.
In the Youth Club, we held 12 online meetings and 1 offline meeting. It is a safe space for communication, learning, and developing social skills and independence. Young people learn to express their opinions, build friendships, and take an active part in community life.
In the Parent Club, we organized 2 online meetings, which were attended live by 40 families and later watched in recording by nearly two hundred families. This program helps parents receive professional advice, share experiences, find support, and restore their inner resources.
As part of the “Infants” project, support was provided to families raising children with Down syndrome. During this period, 50 families received assistance, and 125 consultations were conducted. Our specialists help parents better understand their child’s development, stimulate speech and fine motor skills, and strengthen the emotional bond within the family.
During this reporting period, $100 was raised through the GlobalGiving platform as part of the “Lots of Socks” campaign. These funds will be directed toward the “Infants” program and will cover five consultations for families raising young children with Down syndrome.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed to supporting our programs. Your involvement is an investment in children’s development, family support, and the creation of a society where everyone has the opportunity to live a full and meaningful life.
