English and Mathematics sessions in Janani Home
Maths and English are foundational skills for young learners. It is important to educate children well, by giving them the necessary skills in Maths and English, which helps them to build confidence, improve their social and communications skills, and understand the world around them. These two invaluable skills contribute to a child’s success, as they transition from childhood to adulthood.
A family who lived in USA for a long time now settled down at Puducherry. Their children who are doing 10th and 12th standar are volunteering to teach English (to read and speak) and basic math including Algebra during the Sundays for the children in Janani Home.

Badminton Time at Janani Home
One of the important benefits of playing badminton is that it boosts up muscle strength making you strong and fit. Continuing movements and hits in badminton strengthen your heart muscles. The vibrant game of badminton is a healthy habit to ward off your stress hormones.
By making it a habit our muscles become flexible and strong. Having a good metabolism with a high metabolic rate is vital for a healthy life. Having a healthy badminton match every day reduces the risk of bone fractures. Apart from physical benefits, the mental benefits of playing badminton are more striking and interesting.
Every day children at Janani Home spend time playing badminton. Children are excited to play. They do cycling and also take up running and jogging exercises.

Birthday celebration in Janani Home
There's nothing like a birthday. In addition to reminding us of how old we are, they also represent how far we've come. Taking part in them is a great way to express your appreciation for someone. As we celebrate someone's birthday, we aren't just reflecting on how long they've lived but also how much they've accomplished. A birthday gives everyone the chance to feel special and appreciate how much their loved ones care for them.
On 04.05.2023 one of the child, Janani celebrated her birthday. She is now 13. It was a time of celebration at Janani Home. We wish Janani a very Happy Birthday and a wonderful year ahead. We are happy that we made the child happy in spite of her difficult family circumstances.
We thank GlobalGiving and their sponsors for helping the children to bring a tangible changes in their lives.
