By Dena Kidd, Sr. Director Development JA Arizona | Thank you for your generosity this holiday season!
Thank you very much for helping us exceed our project goal of $5,000! Because of your generosity this holiday season, we will teach an additional 139 young people about business, economics and prepare them for the world of work.
Take Rebecca Saunders, she truly is a shining example of how JA impacted her life as student in the middle grades
Rebecca was a Young Entrepreneur award winner over 10 years ago for her childhood pet-sitting business. She has truly embraced the enterpreneurial skills learned through Junior Achievement. As a young student, Rebecca participated in JA BizTown and was featured in JA It's My Business, a middle school program.
Rebecca has since closed her pet-sitting business and is now a full-time student at Stephens College in Missouri. But Junior Achievement is never far from her mind. Recently, Rebecca was invited by JA USA to be the keynote speaker at the JA Company Program event in Greece!
Reflecting on her bright future, Rebecca said, "In five years, I see myself having my undergraduate degree and my master's degree. And hopefully I will have already started my new business. It was through my experience at Junior Achievement that I learned to dream big and believe in myself. Without the basic fundamentals of entrepreneurship and business taught to me through JA, I'm not sure I would be where I am today." - Rebecca Saunders, JA Alumna
Your help will impact many more Rebecca's in the future.
Thank you!
