By Mawini | Student of Veterinary Medicine, Zambia
Thank you so much for your support. Below you can read about Mawini's journey with this project from grade 1 primary to university...
"I am a Zambian youth aged 24 years old in my final year of study at the University of Zambia pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine. I did my primary education at Pizz School in Monze under the supervision of Mrs Sianga who is also the school director. My academic journey from primary to secondary education has been with the support of HATW and it is through this organization that I have made it this far. HATW did not only provide for my financial need but for my social and emotional needs as well through various means which helped me fit in society despite been an orphan from the lowest income household group.
My degree journey ends this month (December, 2020) after which a new phase will begin. I stand not only as a HATW beneficiary but also as an example to most children out there indicating to them that with support, encouragement and help from the HATW family there is so much one can achieve regardless of their social status. My prayer and hope is to see many underprivileged children excel in life. Professionally I hope to become an internationally recognized veterinarian with a primary aim of setting an example for the younger generation while alleviating pain and suffering in animals.
I have faith and hope that next year (April, 2021) the HATW family will celebrate with me as I officially graduate as a Veterinary surgeon."
Please donate if you can and help more talented young people like Mawini reach for their potential.
