With the funds received through this project, we provided Grocery kit for the elderly visually challenged whose livelihood has been affected due to COVID lockdowns. Old age persons belong to very poor family backgrounds. After identifying the situation of elderly people, our committee has discussed and taken up the initiation of supply of food groceries to them every month. To keep the old people happy to some extent on humanitarian grounds, we are supplying every month food groceries rice, dal, cooking oil, etc to.
we look forward in raising more for this cause. As always, we, along with GlobalGiving, will do our best in reaching out to generous donors across the Globe and will strive to bring happiness on the face of each of our beneficiaries.
Beneficiaries Words:
One of our visually challenged people aged 46, studied up to class 5 and working as a salesman selling soap and honey. His vision was low from birth and at his 23rd age, he has totally lost his vision. He says, he has no family and leads a single life. Having no one to take care of, he manages to cook himself sometimes or by eating at the hotel. With no stable income and having a vision problem his friends were supporting him then and there. In this COVID lockdown, he lost his job and was struggling even without 10rs to have a tea. He heard about the IAB's grocery scheme and had applied. With the help of IAB, he has received the grocery kit by which he can sustain for the past 3 months to have food. Thanks to all supporters of GlobalGiving.
