Dear friends, we continue supporting children’s hematology and oncology departments in Chisinau, Moldovan capital, and bringing medical supplies that are crucial in departments' daily operations. Both departments use large volumes of drips, syringes and other items. Work may get seriously disrupted if these items are not restocked regularly. In our last report from March, we told you about our plans on supplies refill. In April 2014, we made this purchase in amount of 17,258 Moldovan lei (about $1,300), which was entirely funded by your donations.
Among the other items, we bought:
- Drips with special ports that let inject chemotherapy and anti-intoxication drugs simultaneously;
- Filters mounted on the caterers that serve as an antibacterial barrier and filtration point in the infusions;
- Mobile power boards and adaptors that let children walk and play with other children as opposite to spending all their time in wards.
At this time, about 25 children receiving treatment benefit from your assistance. Thank you for your ongoing support!
