Alkhidmat Mobile Health Unit Provided Free Medical Care to Flood-Affected Families in Bahawalpur
Summary
In Sharifabad, Bahawalpur, Alkhidmat Foundation's Mobile Health Unit provided free medical consultations and treatment to 113 flood-affected patients, ensuring access to essential healthcare services for vulnerable families affected by recent flooding.
Story / Update
Flood-affected communities often face significant challenges in accessing healthcare due to damaged infrastructure, displacement, and limited transportation. These conditions increase the risk of illness and disease outbreaks, particularly among children, women, and the elderly.
To address these urgent needs, Alkhidmat Foundation deployed its Mobile Health Unit to Sharifabad, Bahawalpur, where qualified medical staff provided free consultations, medicines, and health advice directly to affected families. During the medical camp, 113 patients received essential healthcare services.
By bringing medical care directly to communities cut off from hospitals and clinics, the Mobile Health Unit helps prevent disease outbreaks, ensures timely treatment of illnesses, and reduces the burden on vulnerable families already struggling with the impact of flooding.
This initiative demonstrates Alkhidmat’s commitment to delivering life-saving healthcare assistance to disaster-affected communities and supporting their recovery with dignity and compassion.
