Title: Free Medical Camp Organized for Flood-Affected Families in Dera Ismail Khan, KPK
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation organized a free medical camp in District Dera Ismail Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, providing essential healthcare services to 300 beneficiaries. The camp was supported by the Alkhidmat Mobile Health Unit, ensuring timely medical care for vulnerable communities with limited access to healthcare facilities.
This initiative is part of Alkhidmat’s ongoing health and emergency response efforts across Pakistan.
Story / Update
Communities in District Dera Ismail Khan face significant challenges in accessing basic healthcare, especially during and after emergencies. Floods, poverty, and limited medical infrastructure increase the risk of untreated illnesses, particularly among women, children, and the elderly.
To address these urgent needs, Alkhidmat Foundation deployed its Mobile Health Unit and organized a free medical camp in the district. Qualified doctors and paramedical staff provided medical checkups, consultations, and free medicines to patients suffering from common illnesses, including infections, fever, skin diseases, and gastrointestinal problems.
The medical camp offered much-needed relief to families who otherwise would have had to travel long distances or forego treatment due to financial constraints. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the compassionate and timely healthcare services.
