Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation’s Mobile Health Unit delivered free medical services to flood-affected families in Sharifabad, Bahawalpur, ensuring essential healthcare access for vulnerable communities. A total of 200 beneficiaries received treatment, medicines, and preventive health guidance.
This intervention is part of Alkhidmat’s nationwide emergency health response for families impacted by devastating floods across Pakistan.
Story / Update
Flood-affected areas such as Sharifabad in Bahawalpur continue to face severe challenges, especially limited access to medical care. Many families have been cut off from hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies due to damaged roads and disrupted services.
To bridge this critical gap, Alkhidmat deployed its Mobile Health Unit, bringing doctors, paramedics, medicines, and diagnostic support directly to the community. The unit provided:
General health checkups
Treatment for infections, injuries, dehydration, and respiratory issues
Free essential medicines
Health awareness sessions to prevent disease outbreaks
For families already struggling with displacement and loss, this timely medical support brought relief, safety, and hope.
Community members expressed deep gratitude, noting that without this service, many would have remained without essential care during a high-risk period.
