Healing Hands: Alkhidmat Health Units

By Saad Afzaal | Project Leader

Alkhidmat Foundation continues its commitment to accessible healthcare through a wide network of Health Units across Pakistan. These centers are strategically established in urban slums, remote villages, and disaster-prone areas where communities often lack access to basic medical facilities.

In 2025, Alkhidmat Health Units provided free and affordable healthcare services to thousands of patients nationwide. Services included general consultations, maternal and child healthcare, vaccination drives, diagnostic support, and distribution of essential medicines.

A key focus of the year was emergency medical response during the devastating floods that struck several parts of Pakistan. Alkhidmat Health Units and mobile medical camps were rapidly deployed in flood-affected areas of Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan. Our doctors and volunteers provided life-saving treatment, clean drinking water, medicines, and emergency care to families stranded in floodwaters and shelter camps.

These efforts not only addressed immediate medical needs but also helped prevent outbreaks of waterborne diseases such as cholera, diarrhea, malaria, and skin infections—common in post-flood situations.

Beyond emergencies, Alkhidmat Health Units continued to serve vulnerable communities year-round. Health awareness sessions on hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care empowered families to build healthier futures.

The expansion and strengthening of Alkhidmat Health Units reflect our vision of “Healthcare for All”—ensuring that no one is left behind, whether in times of peace or disaster.
