Summary

Project supports independent media outlets of Charity Foundation "Democratic Society" that provide objective and vital information to the communities, especially those suffering from Russia's invasion. Funding is also provided to our media organizations that conduct training on journalism, cyber and physical security of journalists, as well as the rights of journalists and their protection during the war.

Challenge

There is a war going on now. Media activity in Ukraine has never been so important. Our correspondents work tirelessly, journalists fight and fight on the information front - with the help of news, texts, posts on social networks, streams on YouTube, etc.

Solution
How to support the media, which needs to be supported, press must have the resources to work. Donors keeps us going. So you will be able to directly help independent mass media and our correspondents will be able to receive a support in work.

Journalists of editorial office work non-stop in order for our readers to learn the most up-to-date information in the period of war in Ukraine as quickly as possible.
Journalists fight around the clock on the information front - with the help of news, texts, posts on social networks, streams on YouTube, and more. With published only true and verified information. Journalists defend freedom of speech and democratic values.
Project helps to provide the resources to work, for the implementation of freedom of transport movement of our journalists, for conducting interviews, attending press-conferences, covering important events, posting articles, purchasing gadgets and journalists equipment. Help keeps us going. So we will be able to directly help independent media, and our correspondents - to receive support in work. With true and verified information, we don't give invaders a chance in the newsroom of the battle. To resist any kind of propaganda, we need support. Everybody may contribute to the common struggle by supporting media.

To help media in our country, to develop journalism among children of the refugees, our foundation provides activity in the organization of free tutoring, free practice for students, free internships for students of higher educational institutions in the specialty "journalism", introduction of non-formal education in educational institutions, based on human rights principles, holding cultural and integration events.

The Charity Foundation Democratic Society has projects to help students - children of refugees from the war in the journalistic speciality, a project to aid on the main base for free internships in the pages of our newspaper "Ukrainian Youth".

The newspaper "Ukrainian Youth" provides free internships for beneficiaries of students of Ukrainian universities in the specialty "Journalism".

Internship is included in the process of studying students at universities, and the organization of this internship,
tuition, also requires funds.

In former period our Foundation was engaged in filling the content of the Foundation's media sites, and the Foundation's sites in social media.
The nesessary thing was the material and financial provision of student internships too.

We were providing aid and support of the newspaper "Ukrainian Youth", which is the main means of media of the Charitable Foundation "Democratic Society", our journalists are writing articles to that our media, in which tutoring and training of students is providing too.
Payment of rent, telephone, Internet, transport, electricity, firewood for heating the office, rooms for the employees of the foundation, medicine for the treatment of employees and those who need it.
Provision of the office with stationery and other supplies, gadgets for work, other equipment, provision of printing materials, printing of certificates on student internships, renovation of editorial office of newspaper "Ukrainian Youth".
Payment for food, representative expenses, working trips.

Provision of information for our journalists and advertising services for finding students who need internship.
In that period we were doing all in our power for realisations of our project. In new period we are expected that process of realisation of this project will be more intensive.

Also sufficient for work amounts of funds must be reserved for planned activities for future periods.
