Enseña por Colombia has achieved significant progress in its educational initiatives over the past four months. We secured $145 in funding, enabling us to provide essential training for bilingual professionals in Colombian classrooms. Thanks to the support of our donors and collaboration with GlobalGiving, we were able to ensure two months of classes for 30 students with exceptional English teachers.
Our educators, trained during the October-November 2023 Institute, are committed to ongoing English proficiency development. Through partnerships with over 50 organizations and support from 43 recurring donors globally, we have established a successful and sustainable model.
Currently, we have 26 bilingual teachers making a substantial impact by reaching 4,550 students through ESL classes by 2024. Our English proficiency tests show a notable 7% average increase in correct answers, particularly in grammatical aspects. Looking ahead, we are committed to building upon these achievements, with our 2023 institute participants ready to contribute significantly to educational transformation.
