Senator Cardin Delivers Keynote Address at ICAP-CSIS Conference on Transformational Leadership

The importance of diversity in International Affairs has never been more important, and ICAP continues to lead this dialogue.

Greetings, ICAP Supporters!

On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, ICAP, in partnership with the Center for Strategic and International Affairs (CSIS) convened a conference on “Transformational Leadership in International Affairs,” featuring senior U.S. government and business leaders. The conference examined the strategic imperatives for diversifying the senior ranks of U.S. national security agencies and reviewed cutting edge talent management approaches in leading U.S. global companies. The event featured a keynote address from Senator Ben Cardin, Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, followed by two distinct panels with senior leaders from national security agencies, including Tom Shannon, Under Secretary for Political Affairs, U.S. Department of State, and major U.S. corporations such as Bank of America.
