This is an exciting time of year at Streetwork and we have a number of new and intriguing opportunities for our young clients. NYC Pride is coming and Streetwork always has a large presence, tabling and marching with our fellow New Yorkers. We are also working with some of our partners to plan and conduct work readiness workshops with a focus on professional interview and resume building skills. Securing a new job is, for many, a key first step toward obtaining stable housing.
As you know, Streetwork operates two drop-in centers, an overnight shelter, and an outreach program for homeless youth. Last year, Streetwork provided services to 1,022 clients and made 21,982 outreach contacts.
