By Yvens Rumbold | Executive Director of Ayiti Demen
Since our fundraising appeal in June to support the Association of Fruit Processors (ANATRAF) in Haiti, the organization has been unable to access its former location. This is due to the continued presence of gangs in the area. Unfortunately, our appeal did not receive any donations on GlobalGiving platform between June and November, leaving the project without financial support during that time.
However, Ayiti Demen intensified its fundraising efforts leading up to Giving Tuesday and successfully secured new donations on GlobalGiving and Give Lively. These funds will be granted to ANATRAF this month through the local foundation, FOKAL, in Haiti.
Once the grant is disbursed, Ayiti Demen will provide an updated report on ANATRAF’s activities in the South of Haiti. We are hopeful this support will help ANATRAF continue its vital work despite the ongoing challenges.
