Remote Area Medical’s founder Stan Brock came up with the concept for the organization while working as a cattle rancher in Guyana. The Guyana Air Ambulance is one of the main ways RAM® continues to keep the promise Mr. Brock made to the indigenous people of the region so many years ago. The area continues to be plagued by transportation difficulties and healthcare resource scarcity. Remote Area Medical enduringly attempts to fill those gaps.
In the past three prior months, 68 patients (including 7 children) have benefited from our Guyana Air Ambulance program. More than 30 people were fitted with eye glasses and 26 flight dentists, caregivers, flight nurses, and family members were transported to tend to those in need. RAM pilots traveled more than 3,800 miles while helping to provide $56,860 in value of care. With your support, this vital work will continue.
