Pointters Community Initiatives - Health Literacy Quarterly Update

Year 2023 seems to be a good year as the covid vaccination impact is gradually being felt around the Fox Valley areas. Most black African Americans have been vaccinated. With partnership with community healthcare and MCI, we started the major reinforcement on vaccination education. We want to make sure our community is well aware of the impact of Covid epidemic. 

In partnership with MCI, we were about to administer about 40 Covid vaccinations. We started working on vaccination education and addressing vaccination misinformation. We incorporated the vaccination campaign into our career focus program for the students.

• Over 200 Grade 9-12 students received information on Covid. We believe this collaboration is very effective. Most students don't want to attend vaccination events but we were able to get the information out to them through our programs and initiatives 

• We also ran various campaigns on social media, FB, TWitter and Linkedin. Below are some of the checkpoints where the vaccination program we implemented and planned.
