A space transformed for ITavano

By Karen Purdie | Project Leader

New skills for meal preparation
New skills for meal preparation

IRODA continues to develop and grow its work as opportunities arise. With changes in, and a relocation of, one of IRODA’s social enterprise projects there has been the opportunity to transform a space for the ‘ITavano’ program.

The key focus areas of the ITavano program include:

  • Independent Living Skills Training: basic daily living skills, fostering independence, and enhancing social adaptation.
  • Training: education in arts and graphic design and foundational workplace skills.
  • Creativity and Physical Activity: engaging young people in activities aimed at unlocking creative potential and promoting physical well-being.

IRODA is grateful to have been able to renovate the space now used by ITavano and have the new creative studio operational and supporting young adults with skills for the workplace, opportunities to gain independence in the community, and activities that support physical and emotional well-being.

Once again, we thank each one of you for your role in transforming spaces and the lives of young people who access them.
