Supporting Conflict-Affected Women and Girls Through Livelihood Assistance
We are pleased to report the successful distribution of cash assistance to vulnerable women and adolescent girls affected by conflict and Gender-Based Violence (GBV) across Gujba and Tarmuwa LGAs of Yobe State, Nigeria.
Many of the beneficiaries are widows and female-headed households who lost their spouses and primary sources of income due to the Boko Haram insurgency. The assistance was designed to help them establish or expand small-scale businesses, enabling them to earn sustainable incomes and meet essential household needs.
Since receiving the support, beneficiaries have begun investing in petty trading and other income-generating activities, improving their economic stability and reducing their vulnerability. The intervention has not only strengthened livelihoods but has also restored confidence, dignity, and hope among women and girls striving to rebuild their lives after years of conflict and hardship.
This achievement would not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters. Your contributions are helping vulnerable women and girls move from dependence to self-reliance, creating lasting positive change for families and communities across Yobe State.
