My name is Micaela and I am in my senior year of college at FASTA Institute (Fraternidad de Agrupaciones Santo Tomás de Aquino - http://www.ufasta.edu.ar/) in San Francisco, Argentina. My major is Psychopedagogy.
One evening in the beginning of the school year, I received a phone call by none other than the college director, Prof. Raquel Vercesi, to inform me that I had the highest grade point average of my class. As recognition, I have been representing my graduating class and bearing the Argentine flag in all official ceremonies this year. It was a beautiful moment when I received the news, because I felt that all my hard work and efforts were being noticed. In addition, I received the Manuel Belgrano certificate awarded to all outstanding students in the city of San Francisco by our mayor, Dr. Ignacio Garcia Aresca.
Besides giving you this update, I would like to take this opportunity to give infinite thanks to all donors and volunteers that work hard so that young people like me can make our dreams come true. I also want to thank VISIONAR scholarships and Asociacion Atrapasuenos for promoting community volunteering as part of the scholarship requirements. Thanks to this program, my fellow VISIONAR students and I can give back to the community some of the mentorship and care that we have been fortunate to receive. This experience truly fills my soul and gives more meaning to all our efforts.
To anyone reading this report, please consider supporting us with a donation for the 2017 school year. Your precious help will allow the program to continue so we can make a real difference in the lives of our community. Thank you!
Micaela
Please consider supporting one VISIONAR student through their school year, which represents USD $1,525 in today’s exchange rates. This amount helps pay for university fees, school supplies, books and transportation. As always, any amount is deeply appreciated and welcome.
