By Gabriela Mondino | VISIONAR Scholarships
Maximiliano has been with VISIONAR Scholarships since 2010, when he started the Chemical Engineering program at the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional in San Francisco, Argentina http://www.frsfco.utn.edu.ar/ . Maxi is an easy-going, friendly, thoughtful young man and, in his own words, a “perfectionist” when it comes to his schoolwork; he is truly passionate about science and it shows; he is a straight-A student with a bright future ahead of him.
In this update you will see excerpts of Maxi’s monthly reports he sends to his VISIONAR mentor, Dr. Flavia Lamberghini, and to VISIONAR coordinators, to keep us informed of his progress. Every monthly report, for the last 5+ years, is a pleasure to read. I am only sharing short snippets, accompanied by my editorial comment to add context and give you a glimpse of how extraordinary this young man is.
December 2015
“Last Monday I took the final exam for Operational Units (one of the last courses before I graduate), and I got a 10!” (“A” in US grading).
“Next year, I would like to get a job and save enough money to help me move to Santa Fe city and start the Doctorate in Physics.”
Given his stellar performance through college and the recommendation of his professors, Maxi has already has been accepted into a PhD program at CONICET, a prestigious scientific institute located in the city of Santa Fe, Argentina http://ww.santafe-conicet.gov.ar/ . In addition, CONICET already offered Maxi a scholarship to finance his PhD program.
