A dream come true both for Emiliano and for VISIONAR: last October, Emiliano Gudiño, the first student to receive a VISIONAR scholarship back in 2007, graduated from Universidad Tecnologica Nacional in San Francisco, Argentina, with the degree of IT engineer.
VISIONAR Scholarships' mission is to support outstanding college students in Argentina who demonstrate academic excellence and leadership potential. Emiliano fully embodies the values of VISIONAR and we are very proud to have been by his side while he got an education that will allow him to start the career he always wanted.
"My dream to become an IT engineer has come true, it is hard to believe. When I presented my final thesis on the development of a mobile application for the restaurant industry, the evaluating committee said 'Congratulations, Engineer!', and it sounded strange that they were addressing me as a professional," added Emiliano with a smile of satisfaction.
Emiliano thanked VISIONAR for the support: "VISIONAR has been by my side in good and in difficult times. It was very motivating to have people who believed in me, who encouraged me to reach my goal."
What is in Emiliano's future? "While I look for a full time job with a well-reputed company, I will do freelance work. There are many options as an IT engineer," commented Emiliano. VISIONAR will continue to accompany Emi. He has become family to us, as have the other scholars. We loved to see Emi's progression in school, and we are confident that he will experience continued success as he enters a new chapter in his life. All the best, Emi!
Ending the year 2013 with this happy note, we would like to thank once again all of you who share our values and our mission. We hope you continue by our side in 2014. Our scholarships are fully funded by generous donors like you. Thank you for your support, and may 2014 bring health, love, and peace to you and your families.
