My name is Gaston, I am 20 years old and, thanks to VISIONAR scholarship and the support of Atrapasuenos Association (managers of VISIONAR program) I was able to see my dream come true: to study Construction Engineering, which I have wanted to do since I was a young boy.
My family struggles to make ends meet. Given our financial situation, my parents had been trying to dissuade me from studying this field, which is not offered at university in my home town. Moving to another city to attend university was not an option my parents could support. That is when VISIONAR opened a door for me. Representatives of Atrapasuenos Association visited my home and conducted interviews with my parents and with me. After I submitted my application and sat through the interviews, I was granted a VISIONAR scholarship. I was given hope!
I will never forget that moment I received the news. I decided there and then that I would try my hardest to face any and all obstacles and make my family and VISIONAR proud. Hard to believe this was over two years ago already! TO CONTINUE READING, PLEASE OPEN THE ATTACHED FILE.
