Thank you for your continued generosity and support of The Branch Foundation. Your contributions make our work possible and enable us to continue supporting education and community development at Koung Jor Refugee Camp in Thailand.
Our work at Koung Jor continues to focus on creating educational opportunities for children and young people. We are still funding stipends for the English teachers and computer teacher, facilitating teacher training sessions, and providing support wherever we can to help sustain and strengthen local education programmes.
We believe that supporting local teachers and building their skills is essential to creating lasting opportunities for students. Your donations help ensure that these classes can continue and that young people have access to learning opportunities that can support them into the future.
Looking ahead to 2027, we have an important milestone to celebrate. We were first introduced to the Koung Jor community 20 years ago, and next year will also mark 20 years since The Branch Foundation was established. Over that time, Koung Jor has become much more than a project to us. The community feels like family, and it is incredibly special to see those relationships continue across generations. Our daughter loves visiting her friends there, too, which makes our connection to the community all the more meaningful.
We held The Branch Foundation’s Annual General Meeting on 18 August 2026 and have submitted all our Annual Return information to the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs (linked below). We remain committed to responsible governance and to making sure your support is used to benefit the communities we work alongside.
In December, Tom and Iona will travel to Thailand, where they will spend time from mid-December until early January strengthening existing relationships, reconnecting with the Koung Jor community and exploring opportunities to build new partnerships.
