Support civil society in fight for global justice

By Angelica Wahono | Project Contributor

During this reporting period, the Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) continued to advance the meaningful participation of civil society in international justice efforts. Through sustained advocacy and dialogue with ICC officials, states parties, and diplomatic stakeholders, the Coalition helped ensure that victims, survivors, and affected communities remain at the center of the fight against impunity.

Our Secretariat actively engaged in the work of the Assembly of States Parties and all organs of the Court, as well as with the European Union, bringing forward civil society perspectives—particularly from ICC situation countries. Strategic discussions were facilitated with national, regional, and international civil society organizations to strengthen their engagement on key issues such as complementarity, human rights defenders, and the role of the Court in specific contexts.

To promote inclusive participation and equitable access to justice, the CICC continues to prioritize multilingual communication. We strive to provide interpretation in English, French, Spanish, and other relevant languages during internal Coalition meetings and engagements with Court officials and diplomats. This ensures that discussions are accessible, effective, and representative of our diverse membership.

The Coalition also maintained its trilingual website (https://www.coalitionfortheicc.org), a central hub for resources, updates, and analysis on ICC developments. Available in English, French, and Spanish, it supports transparency and collaboration across our global network.

Thanks to your support, the CICC remains a vital platform for civil society engagement with the International Criminal Court, helping shape policy and accountability efforts through inclusive, informed, and rights-based advocacy.
